WATERLOO, ON, CANADA - October 18, 2005 - SlipStream Data Inc. today announced plans to release SlipStream SP5.0 - the next version of the world's fastest and most widely deployed Web and email accelerator. SlipStream SP5.0 will continue to deliver the fastest and most reliable acceleration, while introducing enhanced graphics capabilities that will help Internet users take advantage of increasingly image rich Web pages. SlipStream SP5.0 will also support the new SlipStream NOW!Technology(TM) platform, which facilitates unprecedented levels of acceleration, image quality and customer service.
NOW!Technology builds on SlipStream's core acceleration, adaptive data compression and network optimization technology. NOW!Technology introduces two new products to establish a new standard of performance for dial, broadband and wireless users:
NOW!Imaging(TM) combines the power of SlipStream's patented image compression techniques with newly developed concurrent image delivery to render all image data on Web pages simultaneously. This results in fully-usable Web pages that appear almost instantaneously and reach maximum quality while users view the page.
NOW!Service(TM) sets a new standard in customer service through self-diagnosis capabilities that enable ISPs to streamline and eliminate support calls, thereby improving service and reducing technical support resource requirements.
