Enhancements to SlipStream's core technology Engine enable carriers to drive wireless data usage while reducing infrastructure investment
WATERLOO, ON, CANADA and BANGKOK, THAILAND - August 4, 2005 - SlipStream Data Inc. today announced the release of enhancements to the SlipStream Acceleration and Optimization Engine, developed to meet the unique needs of wireless carriers.
SlipStream uses patented acceleration, data compression and network optimization to enable carriers to deliver on the promise of fast and reliable Internet access while increasing service capacity and reducing infrastructure investments. The SlipStream Acceleration and Optimization Engine is the core technology behind all of the Company's product offerings, including SlipStream SP. SlipStream SP is the most widely deployed web and email accelerator in the world, currently used by more than 2,000 service providers in over 40 countries.
SlipStream's core technology Engine delivers the fastest performance on the market, as proven by recent independent testing, accelerating access to web content and emails by up to 7 times. This superior performance, combined with a more consistent quality of service and network efficiency improvements delivered through the new enhancements, results in a less frustrating and more productive on-line experience. By satisfying wireless subscribers' expectations, carriers will now be able to reduce churn and drive the increased use of wireless data.
SlipStream's easy-to-deploy technology also utilizes a proprietary, industry-leading compression algorithm, which results in up to 98% reduction in bandwidth requirements, enabling carriers to support more users and prolong the life of their existing infrastructure. The SlipStream solution seamlessly integrates into any network, and uses adaptive data compression and network optimization to streamline text, graphics, Flash and web-based emails, including attachments.
