SlipStream Data's International Success Wins Gold
Awarded For Excellence In Deploying Web Browsing And Email Acceleration Worldwide
WATERLOO, ON, Canada - April 20, 2006 - SlipStream Data Inc, the industry leader in data acceleration software has been recognized for their outstanding export achievements by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT). The Gold level Global Traders Export Award for achievement in Market Expansion was presented to SlipStream for the massive global success of their acceleration and optimization technology for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Mobile Service Providers (MSPs).
The Company's patented core technology is the invention of its Co-founders and current Executive Vice Presidents of Research and Development, Professor En-hui Yang and Professor Ajit Singh. Their ground breaking work in the fields of information theory and data transport have enabled SlipStream to successfully market this acceleration and optimization product globally. The SlipStream Acceleration & Optimization Engine, their core technology, represents one of the biggest advances in data compression in the last 35 years.
The technology works at the application layer, enabling the use of compression techniques tailored to specific applications and protocols. Operating at the application-layer allows use of adaptive content-specific compression and image compression not typically possible at the network-layer over any network (2.5G, 3G, WiFi, satellite, WiMax). Jean-Marc LaLonde, Parliamentary Assistant to Joseph Cordiano, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT), presented SlipStream with the Award at a special ceremony held today in Southwestern, Ontario.
