SlipStream Data Joins Forces with Kidsnet

New partnership helps ISPs meet customer needs for fast access to safe information

Waterloo, Ontario - July 21, 2004 - SlipStream Data Inc. announced today that it has entered into a partnership with Kidsnet, Inc., an Internet security company known for its leading parental control products, to offer Internet Service Providers (ISPs) an even greater range of tools for deploying value-added services to subscribers. The partnership allows Kidsnet's parental control solution to be tightly integrated with SlipStream's web and email acceleration technology.

"Our partnership with Kidsnet leverages each of our core technologies to deliver an unbeatable value proposition to ISPs," said Ron Neumann, president of SlipStream Data Inc. "Two of the biggest challenges ISPs face center around Internet safety and delivering better performance to customers. This partnership addresses both of these needs and gives ISPs an opportunity to increase revenues by deploying unique new services that create customer loyalty."

Kidsnet gives control of the Internet to parents, administrators, educators, librarians and others and protects children from inappropriate content, not by censoring or blocking, but by rating the World Wide Web and letting customers determine what type of information they want their children to access. Kidsnet is the only parental control solution in which 100% of web sites have been reviewed by trained specialists, and the Kidsnet database is automatically updated based on users' usage.

"This partnership extends the market reach of both companies," stated Bob Dahlstrom, chief operating officer of Kidsnet. "We are dedicated to making the Internet a better place for children and families. Together with SlipStream, we can proactively give users a more enjoyable online experience. This partnership is also compelling as it allows ISPs to quickly and confidently deploy new services that they are able to brand and promote as they see fit."

SlipStream is the defacto standard in the accelerated dial-up market, with over 800 ISP Partners worldwide. The company's sophisticated web and email acceleration technologies compress, optimize and streamline web content, providing a dramatic improvement in access speeds over traditional dial-up and wireless networks. This technology gives ISPs a fast and flexible way of rolling out unique value-added services that can be fully integrated with any third-party software. SlipStream ultimately enables ISPs to reduce subscriber churn by offering users a more fulfilling online experience.
