SlipStream Selected for Pac-West Telecomm's Accelerated Marketplace Program

New Program Helps ISPs Select, Deploy and Manage Accelerated Dial-Up Services

Waterloo, Ontario - May 20, 2004 - SlipStream Data Inc. today announced that it has been selected for inclusion in Pac-West Telecomm's Acceleration Marketplace Program (AMP). Pac-West (Nasdaq: PACW) is a leading provider of communications services to service providers and enterprise customers in the western U.S. Targeted at Internet service providers (ISPs), AMP enables ISPs to easily roll-out accelerated dial-up services using industry leading acceleration solutions, including SlipStream's data compression technologies.

"This partnership program with Pac-West helps extend our penetration and dominance in the accelerated dial-up market," said Ron Neumann, President of SlipStream Data. "Today, ISPs need to offer or bundle some form of accelerated dial-up service in order to survive. Accelerated dial-up services are a key differentiator in recruiting and keeping customers. SlipStream has already signed more than 750 ISPs globally, making our technology the most widely deployed accelerated dial-up solution."

The solutions offered through Pac-West's acceleration partner program enable ISPs to deliver near broadband speeds over a standard dial-up connection. The program helps ISPs quickly select, deploy and manage the best dial acceleration solution for their business through a pre-screened network of leading acceleration providers.

"The content acceleration technologies that are available through our partner program offer dial-up subscribers an Internet experience up to five times faster than traditional dial-up, including web surfing, file downloads, and email, at a fraction of the cost of broadband alternatives, such as DSL, cable, and wireless," said Wayne Bell, Pac-West's Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "By partnering with our ISP customers to enhance their dial-up service, we help them improve customer satisfaction, reduce churn, and generate new revenue streams, particularly in areas where DSL, cable, and wireless are not available."

SlipStream's sophisticated web accelerator technologies compress, optimize and streamline web content, dramatically increasing access speeds over dial-up and wireless networks. SlipStream's technology can be fully branded by ISPs and is completely compatible with all third-party applications, such as dialers and filtering products, allowing ISPs to quickly roll-out unique value-added services. SlipStream's technology is also the only acceleration service that supports both PC and MAC clients. This solution enables ISPs to reduce subscriber churn by offering users a more fulfilling online experience.
