Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Your responsibilities will include working on assuring that SlipStream's innovative products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. In the role of Software Quality Assurance Specialist you will:
- Create and maintain regression and automated test tools for testing SlipStream's compression and optimization technologies for BlackBerry Enterprise Server, BlackBerry Internet Service and BlackBerry devices;
- Design and document test plans and test cases from feature specifications.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience developing automated test tools with C/C++, Java, PHP, Perl, MySQL, Apache and shell scripts
- Proficient in Windows and Unix environments
- Regression testing experience
- Experience planning, documenting and executing test suites
- Knowledge of application-layer protocols (HTTP, POP3, SMTP, IMAP)
Although not pre-requisites, the following are considered assets for this position:
- Embedded systems development experience
- Knowledge of data compression techniques
- BASc in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering preferred; minimum average of 75%
